Post-operative wound care and suture removal

post-op wound care

€15

During the postoperative period, regular monitoring of the operated area is essential to ensure successful healing and aesthetic quality. This care is provided as part of a post-operative visit and is not a stand-alone service.

During the postoperative visit, the otolaryngologist:

  • performs wound and mucosal treatment, providing professional wound care after sinus, ear or other ENT surgery to reduce the risk of infection;
  • if non-absorbable sutures were used during the operation and the healing was successful, the specialist safely and gently removes the sutures;
  • assesses the course of healing, controls scar tissue formation and provides individual recommendations for further wound care at home.
Important: The full recovery of the mucous membrane after surgery can take several weeks or even months, so a timely postoperative visit is essential for a long-term result.
