Rhinomanometry is a functional diagnostic method that allows you to objectively measure air flow in the nose and determine nasal resistance (nasal resistance) in both adults and children. The examination is performed using special equipment that accurately measures the breathing power through each nostril separately. This helps your doctor understand whether breathing problems are related to anatomical obstructions or mucosal edema.
Rhinomanometry is recommended for patients, if necessary:
Timely diagnosis allows you to more accurately identify the cause of the problem and initiate appropriate treatment.
2–4 hours before the visit, do not use nasal drops or sprays (unless the doctor has ordered a test directly with the effect of medication);
avoid strenuous physical exertion immediately before the examination, so that the breathing rhythm is calm;
