If you want your insurer to cover the visit, check the terms of your policy. Some insurance companies reimburse private clinic services only with a medical referral.

An otolaryngologist consultation typically takes about 20 minutes. A neuro-ENT consultation is around 40 minutes, an anesthesiologist consultation is about 20 minutes, and an audio-speech therapy session is 30 minutes to an hour.

If possible, avoid nasal drops or sprays for 2–4 hours before the visit so the doctor can objectively assess the mucous membrane (unless otherwise instructed). Bring results from previous examinations, discharge summaries, test results, and information about medications you are taking. A short note about how long the symptoms have lasted and what makes them better or worse is also helpful.

Please notify us of a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance by phone or email. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient.

In case of sudden severe ear pain, trauma, bleeding, or a suspected foreign body in ENT organs, please call our reception. We’ll try to offer the nearest available slot for assessment.

Yes — many examinations are available on site (for example, endoscopy, audiometry, tympanometry, etc.), which helps reach a clear action plan faster. The specific tests are chosen by the doctor based on your complaints.

Depending on the situation, we offer endoscopy (nose, nasopharynx, larynx), tympanometry, audiometry, otomicroscopy, rhinomanometry, and vestibulometry. Tests are selected purposefully to deliver clear answers.

Yes — LORENT performs both outpatient procedures under local anesthesia and scheduled surgeries under anesthesia in the day hospital. The need for surgery and the approach are determined after consultation and diagnostics.

The range of surgeries may include, for example, septoplasty, turbinate surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS), adenoidectomy, tonsillotomy or tonsillectomy, tympanostomy, myringoplasty, microlaryngeal procedures, and more. The precise treatment plan is always agreed individually.

Yes — before a scheduled operation, an anesthesiologist consultation is held to assess your health, chronic conditions, medications, and allergies. This helps select the safest form of anesthesia.

After anesthesia, the patient is monitored (usually at least 4 hours). Depending on the extent of surgery and recovery, a day-hospital stay or overnight observation may be recommended.

Polygraphy is a sleep study performed at home. It is used when obstructive sleep apnea is suspected (for example, marked snoring, breathing pauses during sleep, pronounced daytime fatigue). The equipment is issued and fitted at the clinic, and the examination itself takes place in your familiar environment.

If needed, a visit can include both examinations and procedures — such as earwax removal, endoscopic examination, medication application, stopping a nosebleed, or foreign body removal. The specific actions are decided by the doctor based on the situation and safety.

Yes — we see children including infants. We adapt the visit to the child’s age and comfort level so everything goes calmly and predictably.

Yes — we choose age-appropriate testing methods so the result is accurate and the process is gentle.

Mask (inhalation) anesthesia is available for some short procedures in children. The type of anesthesia is always chosen by the anesthesiologist based on the child’s condition and the scope of the procedure.

Common pediatric procedures include adenoidectomy, tonsillotomy, tympanostomy (placement of ventilation tubes), and other procedures as indicated. The specific choice is made by the doctor after examination and tests.

An audio-speech therapist helps with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. In children, these difficulties are often linked to hearing, adenoids, or recurrent middle ear infections, so the approach is closely tied to ENT diagnostics.

If there is delayed speech development, articulation difficulty, suspected hearing impact, or mouth breathing. An audio-speech therapist can also help after treatment or surgery to establish correct functional habits.
